What is a Weighbridge calibration certificate ?

The weighbridge calibration is not a legal requirement unless you use it for trade. Calibration to ensure the Weighbridge accurately measures the weight placed on it. Without a calibration, you have no way of knowing whether you are measuring correctly or if you can rely on the measurements it’s producing. If you are relying on your Weighbridge to ensure that your business vehicle remains compliant on the roads you must be risking multiple fines by not having it calibrated regularly. Therefore it is necessary to display the calibration certificate of verification granted under the act at a conspicuous place in premises where such weights or measures are always intended or likely to be used in any transaction or for industrial production or protection.
